The Policy Group for Florida’s Families and Children
The Policy Group for Florida’s Families and Children is a collaborative effort by local and state leaders working to inform public opinion and build political will for a research-based policy agenda that respects, values and fully supports Florida's families and their children.
The children’s services councils were integrally involved in the creation of the Policy Group for Florida's Families and Children, an independent, non-partisan organization founded in 2001. Children’s Services Councils and the FCSC continue to take a very active role in Policy Group projects including Policy Matters, an intensive initiative designed to address policy development and advocacy in a new, strategically focused way.
The Policy Group brings together the best in research, practice and policy in a forum unfettered by categorical constraints. It aims to forge better understanding and more comprehensive public policy models that support the healthy development of Florida's communities, families and children.
